Bubble Painting

Tomorrow we are going to do some bubble painting since we are studying the letter “B” and the color blue. I had seen bubble painting ideas on several sites, but wanted to try something a little different. I decided I better do some test painting with my older three children before I attempt to bubble paint with my preschoolers.

My sister-in-law donated several bottles of her wedding bubbles to my preschool, so I thought I would figure out how to make those work for this project. The bottle on the right is how the bubbles looked before I added the paint. The bottle was not filled to the top, so I just added blue acrylic craft paint until the solution almost reached the top. Then I shook it and hoped for the best. :-)

My children had a lot of fun with this activity. I took them outside and sat a vinyl tablecloth under their papers. However, I think I will use the tablecloth under a large box with the papers inside the box tomorrow. I also think I will do this with each child individually.

So, while there are other ways to bubble paint I am happy with this version. Let me know if you try bubble painting this way.
